Alarm System Security

Passcode = 427346

To silence the alarm: Using the keypad at the 3^rd floor desk, enter the security passcode and press the ENT.
Go to the door that was affected and investigate the issue. Make sure that the door is securely closed. When you are sure that there is no problem, re-enter the code and press the ESC button to reset the alarm.
Exceptions:
1. The 2^nd floor A Stairs/Galleria door and the 3^rd floor 24-Hour Study door have their own keypads. Alarms on those doors can be silenced from the 3^rd floor desk, but the keypad next to those doors must be used to reset the alarm.
2. The Rare Book Room alarm is on a different system and cannot be silenced from the desk. Only those with Rare Book Room emergency access (Donna, Shane, and Cassie) can silence and reset that alarm. Also, the police will come when the Rare Book Room alarm goes off.

List of alarmed doors, with explanations:

1^st Floor

ILL = emergency exit near ILL entrance

1^st Floor Stacks = back corner of stacks

IRB = IRB emergency exit

1^st Entrance = entrance doors by 1^st floor desk

2^nd Floor

West Commons = emergency exit inside West Commons

East Commons = emergency exit inside East Commons

A Stairs 2^nd = emergency exit into the Galleria from the stairs (has separate keypads, both in the stairwell and on the Galleria side)

B Stairs 2^nd= emergency exit in the stairwell (stairwell across from the circulation desk)

3^rd Floor

Admin Door = emergency exit next to Folio stacks

3^rd Floor Stacks = emergency exit by C journals

24 Hour Study = emergency exit/night entrance (has keypad at door)

3^rd Entrance = main entrance

4^thFloor

Rare Book Room (on separate system; see details under Exceptions, above)
