View the 401 Calendar

Follow these steps to view the availability for room 401:

  1. While signed into the Hardin reference email account in Microsoft 365, click on the calendar icon. It's at the bottom, left of the screen below the list of folders. (If you don't want to toggle away from the email page, you can right click on the calendar icon and open it in another tab.) 
  2. Once on the calendar page, 401 should be in the list of calendars along the left side column. Click the circle next to the 401 calendar.
  3. If you'd like to view it without the book puller/desk shift calendar showing, uncheck the circle next to that calendar. (You can also use the "..." menu next to the 401 calendar listing and choose "Show this only.")

Make a Reservation for 401

From the Hardin Reference calendar page (you can be viewing either the Book Puller/Reference calendar or the 401 calendar), click the "New event" button and complete the calendar appointment details.

Be sure to include the following: 

  • On the "Invite attendees" line, type RES-HLHS401. 
  •  In the Descripton section, record all of these items: 
    • Name of the staff member (i.e., you!) making the reservation [If questions about a reservation come up later, we'll know who to check with for more information.]
    • Name of the person the room is being reserved for (only need one member of the group)
    • Email address of the person the room is being reserved for 

Send the appointment. Because you're logged into the Hardin reference account, these reservation appointments will also appear on the Book Puller/Reference calendar and that's OK.
