Creating Guest IDs:
*Patron must have a govenrment issued ID*
- Ask the patron for a government issued ID card.
- Go to https://iam.uiowa.edu/uiguest and log in using your HawkID.
- Enter patron's name AND an email address OR phone number.
- For the Guest Type, select "Libary Patron."
- Enter the patron's driver's license number (or other ID number).
- Ask user length of time needed. The defualt is 3 days but this may be extended for up to one month if needed, but do not extend beyond a month.
- Select Yes for allowing password changes.
- Select no to the ? about wireless access. As of June 2021, guest users cannot access Eduroam network with guest credentials. They need to use a computer in the building for access to resources.
- Ignore last question (it can't be changed).
- Click the Create button.
- Print the page that opens and give it to the patron.
- Email the patron a copy of their printout (unless they decline!)
If someone actually wants to change their password, they go to HawkID tools/change password:

ITS doesn't have an age requirement.
