New Knowledgebase: Resources: User Seats and Codes

BMJ Case Reports

To submit an article to BMJ Case Reports, you must be a "fellow." Luckily, our institutional subscription makes everyone on campus a fellow.  However, they will need our Fellow Code, which is also our Customer Number.  It is 460910. Feel free to give it to anyone who needs it.

Code for Muscle and Motion Posture App

The credentials to use the Muscle and Motion Posture App are below and can be given to anyone who wishes to use the app:

Dissertations and Theses

All University of Iowa PhD dissertations from 1997 to the present are available to UI students, faculty, and staff through the Proquest Dissertations & Theses database.  Most master’s theses and PhD dissertations from 2009 to the present, as well as selected works from earlier, are available in Iowa Research Online (http://ir.uiowa.edu/etd/ )(these works are also linked from the InfoHawk catalog).
University of Iowa dissertations and theses that are available only in print can be digitized; however, this process is not quick.  If the work is still covered by copyright, permission must be obtained from the author before digitization can take place.  If a patron inquires about having a thesis or dissertation digitized, please refer them to Janna.

Binding-UI authors can have their UI dissertations bound for a fee.  This is through the preservation department at Main.  See http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/preservation/thesisbinding/

CINAHL User Seats

There are around 20 user seats for CINAHL which is not sufficient any time we are teaching it or if someone from UI Health Care is running a session. If possible, try to give them 30-60 mins advance notice.

To request that the limit be lifted for a few hours, call EBSCO support at 1-800-758-5995

There are 2 customer IDs that can be provided: S3200382 and S3200082

If you have a large group, it seems best to have users gradually access CINAHL (I usually do a table at a time in a group class)

Cardiosource Plus Access Code

To access some of the resources within Cardiosource Plus, users need to apply a promo code to their personal account profile. One such resource that requires the promo code is ACCSAP (American College of Cardiology Self Assessment Program).

The code for the University of Iowa is IowaCSPlus1. The instructions below provide step-by-step instructions for applying the code.
