Hardin Library PA messaging System: Turning ON and OFF

PA system is a black box attached to the wall near the 3rd floor entrance doors. The system is set up to run on a 20 minute cycle. At 20 minutes to close, activate the PA closing recording by pressing:

•  “Messaging on/off,” “Change,” “Accept”
• If done correctly you will see “ON” in the green information screen and should hear a closing warning at 15 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and at the close of the library.

Once the warning is sounded, turn the PA system off. To deactivate the PA closing recording press:

• “Messaging on/off,” “Change,” “Accept”
• If done correctly you will see “OFF” on the green information screen. If someone forgets to deactivate the PA system, it will continue to play on loop every 20 minutes.

Please double check that it has been turned off when the library has closed.
