Library Resources for Alumni
- Library cards: Alumni may, under some circumstances, be permitted to check materials out of the Libraries. Eligibility for a library card is determined individually and is not based on alumni status. Application for a library card can be made online, at Main Library Service Desk, or any of campus libraries.
- Database access: Alumni are welcome to come to any campus library and use subscription databases via a campus computer with a guest user account or by logging onto the campus wireless network with a personal laptop or mobile device. At some campus library locations, only designated staff members can issue guest accounts. Please call before your visit to make sure staff are available to issue an account for you. A drivers license or photo ID is required to obtain a guest account. For a list of available databases, visit the Library Resources for Alumni guide.
- Research help: Continue to get help with research by visiting any of UIowa's libraries and contacting a librarian.
