Emergency Key Operating Instructions

What is the Emergency Key

It is an external power device that is needed if the batteries in the OCS product/Day Use Lockers have completely died while the locker is still locked and is unresponsive to any touch keypad inputs. The emergency key has two metal contacts on the top of the device that will need to be aligned with the two metal contacts on the bottom of the OCS product.

Using the Emergency Key

When the OCS Smart Lock does not beep or light up when you touch the buttons you will need to use an emergency key to access the locker.

  • The plus and minus symbols should be facing away from you with the plus contact on the right
  • Align the emergency key with the contact points on the bottom of the OCS Smart Lock
  • Firmly hold it in place so the lock can draw power from it. The led on the lock will blink an amber color and beep three times to indicate it has enough power to function.
  • Continue to hold the emergency key in place and enter the six-digit master code (020221) via the touch keypad to open the lock.
