IMPORTANT! 

A mutual-lending agreement exists among several regional Libraries that use Alma.  This group is called "Fast TRAC" libraries and includes the University of Iowa.  Students and staff can search member institutions and then request material to be sent to them for loan.  Also, people from one member library can visit another and use their ID cards to borrow materials.

If someone from a Fast Trac institution visits the Business Library and asks to check out a book:

• At the loan screen check "Find user in other institution".
• Select the institution from the pull-down menu.
• Scan the person's University ID.
• Alma copies the individual's info. from their home library.
• Click "Update User".
• Scan the book. 
• The loan period is 90 days.

IMPORTANT!  Sometimes a patron's ID card will not scan.  If you encounter this problem, type in the ID number without the initial zeros:  for example, 000136592.
