If you would like to have a hard copy of a book that is on course reserves or is unavailable (checked out to someone else, being repaired, etc.), you can request an interlibrary loan (ILL). When you request an interlibrary loan, the Libraries will ask another library that owns the book to send their copy to us and we will lend it to you. Information about ILL can be found below:
- free service
- loan periods depend on the library that sends the book to us
- some libraries allow books to be renewed
- usually takes a week for the book to arrive and be ready for you to pick up
- you do not need to find a library that owns the book, we will do that for you
- if you have never requested an ILL, you will be prompted to create an ILL account
- when you request an ILL through CM+ or the catalog, you don't need to input information about the book, as that will be pulled from our system automatically
