Where to use your requested materials |
Materials in Special Collections are available for the research needs of students, faculty and staff of the University, and the general public. All materials are housed in a controlled environment and, generally, can only be used in either the Special Collections or Iowa Women's Archives reading rooms.

How to use your requested items in the Reading Room |
Researchers will be required to present proper identification and must abide by Special Collections and Iowa Women's Archives policies and procedures. We have many unique, rare, and old items. To help preserve them for as long as possible so as many researchers as possible can use them, we have a few basic handling rules. This list is not exhaustive, though, and you should review the policies and procedures in their entirety.
