Research Papers and Citation

It is important to cite the sources you consult when writing a paper. Giving proper credit can enhance your own work and prevent plagiarism. Please consider the following resources.

Purdue's Owl Guide for Chicago Manual of Style citation examples.

APSA Style Manual for Political Science (scroll to page 17 to see examples of in-text citation while writing your paper.)

Chicago Manual of Style, 16th ed. (On-line ebook)

EndNote Basic is a bibliographic citation manager. Create an account, grab citation information from the Libraries' search tools (InfoHawk+,  EbscoHost and Proquest databases, Google Scholar, etc.), and generate a bibliography. EndNote has a large number of citation formats to choose from, including the American Political Science Association (APSA).  EndNote Basic/Web is free for all University affiliates. EndNote Desktop is available at no cost for graduate students, faculty and staff. See Mendeley and Zotero for similar products.
