Student Organizations
- American Advertising FederationAmerican Advertising Federation is Tippie's only student organization that focuses on the advertising industry. We like to see ourselves as a student-run advertising agency. By meeting with industry experts and taking on real-life projects for local businesses, we'll give you that edge that is in high-demand in the advertising world.
- American Marketing AssociationThrough self-improvement, relationship building, and philanthropy, the American Marketing Association (AMA) gives our members a competitive advantage. We will help you progress as a marketing professional so that you will land the career of your dreams. AMA will connect you with like-minded people and send you into the workplace with real-world marketing involvement.
- National Retail FederationThe NRF Student Association supports students who desire to enter the field of retailing and retail marketing by providing experiences outside of the classroom and networking opportunities for students to get immersed in the rapidly growing field of retailing.
- Sales & Consulting ClubThe Sales & Consulting Club is a Tippie student organization that vows to expose, inform, and prepare students for future careers in the business world relating to sales and consulting. We provide a platform for students to learn about these careers and grow their skills in a friendly, controlled environment. These meetings are a casual way to learn from professional speakers, engage in sales workshops, and network with other students. It never hurts to develop or refine your creative selling and problem-solving skills.
- Marketing InstituteDuring this three-semester program we bring the top 15–20 Tippie marketing students together, and with a combination of skill-building curriculum and real-time projects, we help them launch their marketing careers.
Our field immersion projects (that satisfy the Tippie RISE requirement and a marketing elective) make us like no other institute in the Big Ten. Real clients seek our services to fix their bottom-line marketing problems. Through these year-long projects of rigorous research, our high-performing teams of scholars deliver outcomes that will affect their clients for years to come.
To be eligible, you must have completed Introduction to Marketing Strategy (MKTG: 3000) and have three semesters remaining before graduation.
