Use Scopus as a direct import for journal articles that you don't find in PubMed.
Scopus records can contain errors--especially the way author names are formatted. Every record imported from Scopus should be carefully checked.
Before you use Scopus direct imports, you need to find author identifiers.
1. Go to Scopus
2. Select Authors and fill in the author last name, and first initial(s) OR ORCiD if known
3. You will see a results screen like this. There may be more than 1 result for your author.
4. Click on the author's name to bring up their profile.
5. The author's Scopus Author ID and ORCiD (if available) are in this record.
----------------------------
After you have this information, you can use the Scopus Import tool.
Select Scopus Author ID and put the publication year in BOTH fields. If you aren't certain about the date, you can put in a range.
Click SEARCH
If Scopus has results, you will see this screen. Click the box for the title(s) you want to import. If you don't see the title you are looking for, it is not available to import from Scopus.
If not a duplicate, Finish Import.
At the publications list, review the record.
