**Crossref imports often do not fill in all required fields.  If you use Crossref, you will have to review the record carefully and probably add in additional information.**

If you have a DOI [digital object identifier] for a publication, you can add it quickly

At the Import Publications Screen

Select Crossref

Select DOI from the dropdown menu and enter the DOI

The publication date field can be deleted by clicking the trash can.

Click Search Crossref

Select the item to import and continue
