The University of Iowa Pomerantz Career Center provides centralized and comprehensive services in the areas of:

  • Career Coaching Current UI students and alumni (undergraduates from all majors) within one year of their graduation date are eligible for 1:1 career coaching appointments.

  • Student Employment Programs

From your first semester in college through the year after you graduate, you can take advantage of extensive services, both in person and online. Likewise employers work with a team of staff members who assist them in recruiting well prepared students for internships and full-time positions.

As a student at Tippie College of Business, you have access to a wide range of career resources and expertise through the Tippie Career Services Center.

 

Services

  • Regularly scheduled programming that showcases topics such as LinkedIn, Personal Branding, Professional Documents, Job Search, and Interview Frameworks. 
  • One-on-one coaching appointments to get individualized support in defining your career goals, how to approach job/internship searches, interview preparation, mock interviews, negotiations, etc.
  • Support with business acumen, professional prep courses, and industry professionals.  
  • Tools and resources including a specialized master's career guide, online platform, and case materials.
  • Opportunities to engage in with global learning opportunities / study abroad, experiential learning, case competitions, and more.

The Management and Entrepreneurship Department has a wide array of faculty members with diverse backgrounds who can answer questions and help you as you plan your courses and prepare for life after graduation.

If you have questions about internships and jobs, or need help connecting with faculty who can advise on specific topics, feel free to reach out to the Management and Entrepreneurship Department's Employment Liaison, Erin Nelson (erin-nelson@uiowa.edu).

The department also has student ambassadors who can share insights about the student experience.
