Your Hawkmail account will remain open for about two
weeks after graduation, and once your status reflects that you are no
longer at the university you will begin receiving notifications with the
exact date when your account is set to expire.
If you set up a routing address, you can continue receiving mail sent to your Hawkmail indefinitely. However, mail that is already in your Hawkmail account will not automatically be forwarded to your routing address.
Setting up an iPhone for use with UIHC Exchange email services (provided by HCIS)
ATTN: In order for an iPhone to connect using Exchange Active Sync, the iPhone MUST be running software version 2.0 or higher.
Also, for the EAS setup to work, you must have at least 3 signal bars and the capital "E" present next to "AT&T" as shown in the first photo below.
NOTE: The Server entry field will not show up until you tap the Next button. The auto setup will fail and then show you the Server entry line. Tap the Next button after filling in the Server info and the phone should go to the next setup screen.
Turn on Mail sync. For Contacts and Calendars syncing you will need to ask the user before allowing these to sync. If you turn these on and tap the Save button they will wipe out whatever the user has in their Contacts and Calendars on the iPhone. A message will pop up about this once you flick the switches to On so don't worry about accidentally wiping data out. If the user would like these to sync you should suggest they sync their Contacts and Calendars data, through iTunes, on the Mac they have the iPhone syncing with so no data is lost.
