Music Research Tools: Archives and Special Collections

Special Collections and Archives

The University of Iowa's Special Collections and Archives is an invaluable resource available right here in Iowa City. It includes rare books and manuscripts, archives, media, and other primary source material that can enrich your research.

To access materials, researchers must search the collections and submit requests for materials using a system called Aeon. If you've ever used Interlibrary Loan at the UI, it will feel familiar because it's made by the same company. If you need help registering for your Aeon account and making your first request, check out the short video to the right.
