Find a Journal/Magazine
If you don't want to use any of the recommended journals/magazines, here are two other methods for locating a journal/magazine:
-
E-Journals A-ZIf you know the title of the journal/magazine you are looking for, you can use the title search to find it.
-
Chemistry E-JournalsIf you're not sure what journal/magazine you want to use, you can browse this list of links to frequently-used chemistry e-journals. This list is not comprehensive. If you cannot find the journal/magazine you're looking for, please use the E-Journals A-Z link above.
-
Web of Knowledge // Web of ScienceIf you want to search for an article by keyword or author, try Web of Science which is a citation reference database that includes the Science Citation Index, 1899-present.
Citations
For Part 3, you need to cite a review or popular article. Use the following examples as templates:
Review articles are a type of journal article, so they are cited as such:
- MacGillivray, L. R.; Reid, J. L.; Ripmeester, J. A.. Supramolecular Control of Reactivity in the Solid State Using Linear Molecular Templates. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2000, 122 (32), 7817-7818.
Popular article (with Volume and Issue numbers) also follows this structure:
- Johnson, J.; Torrice, M. BP's Ever-Growing Oil Spill. Chem. Eng. News 2019, 88 (24),15-24. http://pubs.acs.org/cen/coverstory/88/8824cover.html (accessed 2021-01-21).
Popular Article (Online) has as its basis:
-
[Author 1]; [Author 2]; ...; [Last Author]. [Article Title]. [Newspaper Title] ([Place of publication if needed]), [Date], [Updated Date (if needed)]. [DOI or URL]
So as an example:
-
Crow, J. M. Illuminating antiaromaticity. Chemistry World, April 29, 2024. https://www.chemistryworld.com/features/illuminating-antiaromaticity/4019362.article
