What's in the collection?
Books, the Universe and Everything in Between is Sciences Library's leisure reading collection.
The books in the collection fall into two categories: high-quality popular science books,, and science fiction titles. The collection is built on a foundation of books that were scattered throughout the libraries that have been pulled together into this space, but we'll continue to buy new books within these categories to keep it growing and up-to-date!
We hope the books will appeal to students, staff, and community members who are studying and working in science disciplines, and to everybody who likes reading science fiction or about science!
Who can use the collection?
This collection is for University of Iowa students, staff and faculty, and also for community members.
A library card (which is your HawkI ID for students and UI staff) is needed to check out the books. Find more information, including the form for community members to apply for a community borrower's card on this webpage about UI library cards.
Where is it?
The collection is located on the third floor of the Sciences Library, which is located at 120 East Iowa Avenue.
