Welcome to Hawkeye Video!
This guide will show you how to find and digitally browse our impressive selection of physical media, including narrative films, documentaries, television series and more.
Please let us know your thoughts on this collection! Take a brief survey here.
If at any time you have any questions please reach out to Max Radl for additional information.
STEP ONE: SEARCH
The easiest way to find what you would like to watch is to search for the title, director, or actor in InfoHawk+.
To ensure precise results, place whole names or full titles in quotes to search for an exact match:
"David Lynch" or "The Death of Stalin"
To filter your results to physical copies of DVD, Bluray or even VHS, use the refinements on the left-hand side of the screen.
First, select "available in the library" to request results that are physically available:
Next, refine to resource type. If you cannot find what you are looking for after using these refinements, skip this step and simply choose "available in the library".
Once you have found an item you are interested in, simply request it! It will be retrieved and placed on hold behind the service desk at the Main Library. You will receive a notification when it is ready to pick up! (Typically within 24 hours)
STEP TWO: BROWSE
To browse the entire collection, simply search "video record" in InfoHawk+ and refine with the same refinements ("available in the library" and "resource type"). This will list all items with a video record number.
Alternatively, search your favorite movie or show and choose from the listed subject headings for further browsing within that genre!
Additionally, select from the tabs at the top of this guide to browse a curated selection of genres!
