It's your library and we are here to help!
This guide contains links to resources and research tips that will be especially useful for research projects. Get started by exploring all the ways you can get help from your library below, and then use the tabs on the left side of the page to explore what you need to know.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is to recognize when you may need help. Then, seek out that help! No need to be embarrassed! Everyone needs help from time to time, and if you start asking questions now, imagine how much easier life is going to be by the time you are getting ready to graduate! You have resources all around you, and that includes the human resources in the Libraries. Beyond this guide, you have many ways to get help from the University of Iowa Libraries. Don't hesitate to get in touch!
You can:
- Stop in to visit us in person at the Service Desk in the Main Library or any of the campus libraries
- Schedule a one-on-one research consultation with a librarian
- Use Subject Guides to find resources on a wide variety of subject areas, and the contact information for the librarian who works with that subject
- Use LibAnswers Frequently Asked Questions to find an answer
