In 1973, the LNACC established a bilingual/bicultural pre-school in West Liberty, IA. The pre-school was a place where the children could surround themselves with their culture and language. The pre-school was free and served about 80 children. Members of the Chicano Indian American Cultural Center went to West Liberty every Saturday morning and ran the school.
