HELEN LEMME READING CLUB (IOWA CITY)
African American reading club formed in 1984 by University of Iowa graduate students.
IOWA FEDERATION OF COLORED WOMEN’S CLUBS
An umbrella organization serving African American women's clubs in Iowa, affiliated with the National Association of Colored Women. The motto of IFCWC was "Sowing Seeds of Kindness.”

Local chapter affiliated with the National YWCA in 1896. Includes records of the Blue Triangle, the chapter’s African American branch from 1919-1947.
