JOIN US!
Join us for game events in the Main Library!
Take a break, play some games.
These breaks are intended to help you relax and feel comfortable in the library, while building connections to your fellow students, librarians, and available resources.
Games and gameplay can help us all expand our strategies for research, and build new understanding of academic inquiry.
GAME BREAKS GALORE!
In celebration of International Games Month, we will be hosting three game breaks in November.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5th, and Wednesday Nov. 12th, swing by room 2012 on the second floor of the Main Library from noon to 5pm for some casual board games, in partnership with the Tabletop Gaming Student Org.
On Monday, Nov. 17th from 11:30am to 1:30pm, pop into Group Area D on the first floor of the Main Library for a video game break.

TELL US!
Do you want games in the library?
A circulating collection, available for check out, for free?
This collection could include:
Video Games
Board Games
Role Playing Games
...And More!

Did you know that the University of Iowa is one of only six academic libraries in the Big 10 (out of 18!) that do not have a circulating games collection of any kind? The majority of our peers have games available to their students and campus partners, and we believe we should too! If you feel the same way, please let us know and share this survey with anyone interested--the more responses we get, the better we can advocate for starting this collection!
