Searching InfoHawk+

InfoHawk+ is the public interface to search the UI Libraries catalog, including our book and media collection, ebooks and journals titles, plus some of our most used and useful databases. As students at Hillcrest you are able to search InfoHawk+ to find open access or freely accessible journal articles that you can access without a HawkID.

Here's how:

Step 1: Type in the keywords for your topic in the InfoHawk+ search bar:

Step 2: On the left side, select Open Access under availability and select Refine.

Step 3: You should now see Open Access in your results.

Step 4: Next, select articles under resource type and select refine.

Step 5: You should now see Open Access and Articles applied to your search and your results should only contain open access articles.

Step 6: To get the article, select the green link for "full text may be available" or the link to download the PDF, if it's available. You can download or email yourself the article. If you have any trouble accessing the full article, please contact us through Chat.
