About Sara

Sara is the Sciences Reference & Instruction Librarian and a member of the Sciences Library team. She is the liaison librarian to the Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, and Statistics & Actuarial Science departments. Her research interests include information literacy, scientific publishing, and research data management.


  • Students: Do you have a research paper coming up and don't know where to start?  Sara can point you to resources you didn't know about and help you develop a search strategy.
  • Instructors: Could your students benefit from instruction on finding and using resources in the scientific literature? Sara can visit your class to demonstrate helpful resources and discuss the ethical use of information.
  • Researchers: Have questions about data management or scholarly publishing? Sara can consult on data management best practices and other scholarly publishing issues, such as open access, predatory publishers, and researcher IDs.
