By pooling central and collegiate resources, and with the support of CCOM, CLAS, and ITS, the University has acquired a campus-wide license for EndNote, a popular and powerful citation management program. With this move, we will begin focusing our support on EndNote. The Libraries will end its subscription to RefWorks on December 31, 2014. Any free accounts you have created will not be available after that date, but you can transfer your references to another service quickly and easily.

Here are some of the available options, depending on your needs:

• Faculty, Staff, Graduate and Professional Students: Download and install EndNote Desktop and transfer your references, and/or you can also create an EndNote Basic account (syncs with EndNote Desktop). Consult with your local IT support for assistance acquiring and installing the software.
• Undergraduates: We strongly recommend using EndNote Basic (similar to RefWorks). It's easy to create an account and transfer your references. Undergraduates can also purchase an EndNote Desktop license key through the University Bookstore.
• Anyone who wishes to stay with RefWorks will need to purchase an individual subscription before 12/31/14. You can then backup and restore your references to your new account.
