Basic Search:

Chances are you don't know the names/titles of books that can be helpful for your research. If that is the case a Subject Beginning with... or a Keyword in Subject/Keyword Anywhere search will be most helpful to you. 

Examples:

Subject beginning with… 
   Television soap operas -- Latin America -- History and criticism.

Keyword in subject...
   latin america television

Advanced Search:

Similarly, you can do an advanced search, using the subject and keyword fields to identify materials on your topic. Advanced search allows you to combine your search terms, as well as limit your search results using specific variables.
