There's no full text for this article! How can I get the actual article?

Look for the yellow Infolink button -- it will connect you to the other databases the library subscribes to. If there is no full-text available, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan by filling out the form linked from this page. 

I found a citation and want to get the article.

Google Scholar or SmartSearch are two good places to search for an article from a citation. 

There's nothing on my topic.

If you're finding absolutely nothing on your topic, consider the following options:

• Search in a different database (e.g. if you've been searching a highly specialized source, try something more general)
• Use broader terms (e.g. "hip hop," rather than "Jay-Z")

Or, if you're getting so many results that you can't find anything useful, you may need to narrow your search by adding keywords, using more specific keywords, or narrowing based on publication date, subject headings, or other factors.

I can only find one good article.

Check the bibliography for that article -- who have they cited? Chain backwards to find other relevant items. You can also check the subject headings used for that article in a database, and click through to find other relevant items.
