Patrons can access the Health Insurance Marketplace at HealthCare.gov or the Spanish version CuidadoDeSalud.gov. Clicking on the Get Insurance tab of the Healthcare.gov site will provide customized information on the Health Insurance Marketplace for individuals and families as well as small business owners. Starting October 1, 2013, the site will enable partrons to complete an application and see various plan options. Prior to that date, information will be provided to help patrons get ready for the process. Information is customized based on the state in which patrons live.
The Rural Health Information Hub, formerly the Rural Assistance Center, is funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy to be a national clearinghouse on rural health issues.
Health Happens in Libraries is a program to improve public library eHealth services and increase library staff capacity to respond to patron requests for information regarding the Affordable Care Act.
