  • Ask a Librarian - You can send a quick Instant Message question with the Ask a Librarian feature for an immediate response (answered by Libraries' staff).
  • Interlibrary Loan & Documentary delivery - fairly speedy delivery of books and articles not available at the University of Iowa.
  • Article Delivery. In addition, with a new article delivery service, you can request digitized copies of print material held by the Libraries. You will be sent an electronic copy of ther material via email.

  • SmartSearch. The Smart Search catalog provides information on the holdings of the UI Libraries, including books, journal titles, and other media (such as dvds, newspapers, and electronic resources). 
  • Smart Search has a "Find Articles" tab you might like to try. There's a specific subset of Political Science database you can choose to search.
  • RefWorks a useful tool to help manage citations to research articles. See this Shared Folder for an example of how RefWorks might be useful to you. It also easily generates bibliographies.
